Selling music at Venrap Store

To sell content on Venrap Digital Store you need to have the rights to the content.

Send the content you wish to sell to musicsales@venrap.co.za and subject of the email should be Music sales
Email should include track artwork and track details.
We will allocate a R5 sales code name for each content item you wish to sell that will be linked to buy keyword (eg. Buy Bomo). We will contact you when your sales username code is ready.If you’re sending an Ep or more than one song to be sold you need to have already sold 50 download on your previous single with us within the 3 month or have a selling track record with other distributors or such music is associated with ,Bomo Entertainment Group. EP  should be 5 tracks or less.We are unable to sell full album at the moment.

Every song been sold on our platform should at least reach 25 downloads in a period of 3 month from the day the song is available to the public to buy. If you have gone over 25 downloads by the time we pay out royalties. Pay-out is every 3 month after your content made public to be sold. Amount less than R50 we not able to pay it out.

If you fail to sell or reach 20 downloads in a period of six month your music will be removed from our system. downloads records are sent between the 1 and the 5th of every month.

AVOID HAVING  YOUR CONTENT AVAILABLE FOR FREE ANYWHERE ELSE ONLINE.

If the artist is not able to reach 50 downloads the amount generated will cover all the cost for marketing distribution and hosting on our site.

If you fail to reach  20 download in period  of  6 month your song will be removed from our systems.

Every download artist will benefit R2 out of the R5 charged per sms.

What is an SMS sales code?

An SMS sales code is a short keyword that customers send via SMS to 37587 to buy your digital goods such as music.

For example, if your track is called Ndi Bomo Ido mudadza customers will SMS the word Buy Bomo to 37587 to receive a download link and R5 will be deducted from your customers’ airtime.

Our download links are valid for 11 hour and link will expire once they have been used to download the file successfully.

How does the revenue split work and pay-out work?

We shares all revenue with you the artist (content owner) after operator have taken their share. You get average R2 per download and we get average of 49 cent per download.

To sell content on Venrap Digital Store you need to have the rights to the content you would like us to sell. Venrap Is not liable to any copyright dispute for the content sent to be sold as per agreement sent on the email when the content was sent to be sold. Royalties will be paid to content sender and all legal dispute should be directed to the person who claims that they own the content.
